Boiled rice with meat.
Had this beauty in Chiang Mai. Didn’t realize or was going to be a soup, I was expecting some sort of boiled rice balls with chicken and was definitely surprised to see that soup can be a breakfast dish. When you think about it though, what is it that separates porridge or cereal from soup? The only difference here is that this one has meat in it, which is common in many American breakfast dishes, just not the ones that resemble soup. So we should get on that, because this is amazing.
Chinese sausage, pork seasoning with egg.
Another Chiang Mai delicacy that resembles the breakfast skillets we’re familiar with in North America. The sausage and seasoning definitely deliver an Asian feel and are cooked over the eggs rather than being scrambled in. The you’ll begins to mix in nicely once you start digging in! Add some Asian breakfast sauce, common at most establishments, for additional flavour.
