Markets
Markets aren’t a common sight in America. When they do show up, it’s usually in the form of temporary farmer’s markets. In Thailand, as well as many other second and third world countries, they’re a common way of life.
Unlike the ones back home, they don’t restrict themselves to produce, but also feature vendors ready to cook you a full meal. Of course, produce is a big part, and although I have yet to cook here, I have purchased lots of tasty, exotic fruit. For my purposes though, it’s the full meals that make them most appealing. This is where I’ve found the most diverse, authentic food, at the cheapest prices.
Also, skewers on skewers on skewers. Everything is marinated, skewered and grilled.
